For those souls in the
Military that risk
And have lost there lives.
Just a lackadaisical applause.
But what is the real cause?
For this selfish show of affection.

generation.
What about me?
Hey look at me.
What’s in it for me?
I hope the winner is me.
Now days as far
As the eye can see, it
Is all about me.
Nothing wrong with being
The best you can be.
But what do you do,
When you are confronted
Face to face with
Another family’s tragedy?
If you are part of the me
Generation chances are
You will just let it be.
If they are lucky, maybe
You will give them a
Few second of your pity.
After all you need all
The time you can for just me.
Well you say, can’t you see
I can’t help
Every person that
Falls on hard times.
But what about the ones
That God puts in your path?
And what about those
Who forgo the glory and
The accolades to help
A family in distress.
Cancer took the mom
Just a short time ago.
Just a father and a daughter
To pick up the pieces.
But now cancer has
Claimed the father as well
Very little food, the car
About to be reposed.
The electric bill is late,
No one knows what
Will be their ultimate fate?
A teen age daughter is about
To experience the ultimate test.
No place to go, no food to eat,
And too young to understand.
As she watches her father
Fight to stay alive.
But out of the darkness comes help,
Not from the me generation but
From the we generation.
To let them know we care,
To let them know
We feel their pain.
To confirm we are all
Really one big family
In Gods eyes.
And if we give just a little
So little it does not hurt,
This family may survive.

“OH God and King”

That I can touch more lives
